Product Update: Lip-Synced Video Translation, Screencast + Avatar for Everyone, and Background Remover Backdrops

This release adds lip-sync to the Video Translator tool (plus a new Brazilian Portuguese language option), opens Avatar mode and Screencast + Avatar mode to everyone (previously limited to the ngram team), and adds a preset backdrop picker to the Background Remover tool. There's also independent mute toggles for background music and voiceover, a faster start to new conversations, and fixes for nine bugs across chat, editor, and playback. What's New - Lip-Synced Video Translation: sync the speaker's lips to translated audio, with a toggle. Brazilian Portuguese added as a target language. - Avatar mode and Screencast + Avatar mode, open to everyone. - Background Remover Backdrops: preset scenes (Home Studio, Tech Studio, Collaborative Office, Executive Boardroom, Creator Studio) in addition to custom uploads. - Change voiceover language after generation β€” auto re-translates and re-voices. - Independent music and voiceover mute toggles in a new Edit video dropdown. Improvements - Redesigned "Fetching assets" step: pick assets from links or brand kits (including team brand kits), continue as soon as the first check finishes. - Faster start on new conversations. Bug Fixes - Video generation could appear stuck on "paused" after hand-off. - Chat's loading indicator could get stuck after Undo. - Uploaded video preview didn't match the exported crop. - Auto style could lock onto a removed preset (a few outdated styles removed). - "Make changes" pins could linger on the video after sending. - Storyboard and clone chat glitches. - Background Remover mishandled non-person footage. - n8n setup card led nowhere. - Internal MCP sign-in keys cluttered the API keys list. Product Update: Message Queue, Delete Uploads, and Brand Kit in the Wizard

Since issue 013, you can type your next message while ngram is still generating. It holds in a queue β€” a pill in the composer shows it's waiting β€” and runs as soon as the agent finishes. This release also lets you delete uploaded files mid-conversation, adds a brand kit picker to the creation wizard, and merges the Voiceover and Avatar settings into one control. There's also a fix for a bug that silently generated empty videos on scene edits (56 conversations affected), broken links in translated video outputs, and a lower credit rate for Seedance reference video generation. What's New Message Queue in Chat When ngram is generating, you can now type and send your next message β€” it won't be lost. A Queue pill appears in the composer to confirm the message is waiting. Once the agent finishes its current turn, your message goes next automatically. Delete Uploaded Files Mid-Conversation Files attached in chat can now be deleted directly from the attachment tray. The documents tray works the same way β€” add a file, change your mind, remove it without starting over. Upload limits are also now enforced by subscription tier. Brand Kit Selection in the Creation Wizard The before-start wizard now has a brand kit dropdown. Pick the kit you want applied before the first generation runs β€” no need to change it after the fact or rely on the default being correct. Improvements Voiceover and Avatar merged into one control β€” The Video Settings menu had separate Voiceover and Avatar entries. They're now a single Voiceover & Avatar control. All fonts now visible in the Brand Kit editor β€” The font picker was only showing a subset of supported fonts. It now shows all of them. Lower credits for Seedance reference video β€” Seedance 2.0 Fast reference video generation is now billed at 10 credits/second. Bug Fixes Scene edits generated empty videos β€” a type error caused 56 conversations between June 17–24 to generate videos with zero scenes. Fixed. Duplicate turns after reconnecting β€” reconnecting could show duplicate assistant turns. Turns now have stable IDs. Translation output had broken links β€” translated videos were dropping working links. Fixed. Asset selection showed a red ring instead of a tick β€” items in the attachment tray now show a checkmark as intended. File uploader gave no visual feedback β€” selected and rejected files now appear correctly in the uploader. Read the full update β†’

Product Update: App Library Expansion, Auto Top-Up, and Reference Video

Since issue 012, the App Library has gained over a dozen new standalone tools β€” the most added in a single issue. Each runs without a video project: upload a file, pick a tool, get the output. There's also opt-in auto top-up for credits, a new Reference Video path for hybrid animation projects, category filters for style templates, and fixes for motion graphics preview jitter and the "No content to preview" editor deadlock. App Library: Over a Dozen New Standalone Tools Go to the App Library (/app/tools) and you'll find four new groups of tools. None require a video project β€” just upload a file and run the tool. Media and conversion: Video to GIF, format convert, compress, extract audio from video, remove background from images, remove background from video clips, voice dubber (replace the speaker's voice via AI speech-to-speech), and noise removal for audio and video. Transcription and translation: Audio-to-text, video-to-text (SRT, VTT, or plain text), subtitles, captions, and a translator. Content generation: YouTube title generator and YouTube description generator. The App Library now has a search bar to filter tools by name. Text-output results save as projects in your feed. Reference Video (Hybrid Projects) In hybrid animation projects, scenes now default to a Reference Video path. The agent selects reference images from your uploads, face library, mascot, and brand assets, then generates a video clip with those images as visual anchors for more consistent results. Auto Top-Up Credits Paid subscribers can enable auto top-up in Settings β†’ Billing or Settings β†’ Preferences. When credits drop below the threshold, ngram charges the card on file for one credit pack off-session so agentic generations don't stop mid-run. Style Template Category Filters The style template browser now has category filters above the grid to narrow the list by content type. Bug Fixes Motion graphics preview jitter β€” Remotion player no longer re-renders on every frame. Playback is now smooth. "No content to preview" after long turns β€” Reloading now correctly detects turn completion and shows the result. "Your Brand" video style rejected β€” Now accepted as an alias for the auto-style option. Product Update: Hyperframes Motion Graphics, Zapier, and Annual Credits Upfront

Since last week we've shipped 17 new motion graphics visual types from the Hyperframes catalog, opened Zapier to everyone, changed annual plans to release credits at subscribe time, and changed how the agent handles major script rewrites β€” it forks now instead of clearing your conversation. What's New 17 new motion graphics visual types β€” VS Code-style code snippets, Apple Terminal scenes, choropleth and hex maps, iOS 26 / macOS Tahoe liquid-glass surfaces, parallax zoom grids, gooey morphing text, velocity motion blur, cinematic vignette, and more. Ask for any of these by description in chat. Telugu narration language β€” now available in the language picker. Zapier integration now live β€” publicly available to all users via the Integrations section. Partner rewards + starter posts β€” earn credits by referring others; the app generates AI-written starter posts so you're not starting blank. MCP: cancel_video, per-user capability gating, richer confirm gate β€” stop a generation in progress, see only the options your plan supports, and get richer pre-generation review. prepare_video also returns inline option lists with display labels. Improvements Script rewrites fork instead of clear β€” major rewrites now fork your conversation from the script phase, preserving the original. Background music spans the full video β€” including visual padding after narration ends. The music modal also filters by video length. Caption style changes reflect immediately β€” no more stale MP4 snapshot in the editor. Uploaded assets inform script and storyboard β€” image and video descriptions flow into planning. Recurring subjects stay visually consistent β€” not just human protagonists; products and objects too. Annual credits granted upfront β€” full year at subscribe or upgrade time, not drip-fed monthly. Live billing card β€” real price, renewal date, and plan status in billing settings. Product Update: MCP Fixes, Sequential Voiceover, and Smarter Scene Editing

Here's what shipped in the last couple of days. What's New MCP video generation fixed + new API endpoints β€” MCP video generation is working again. New endpoints: GET /api/v1/brand-kits (list brand kits), POST /api/v1/pronunciation-preview (test pronunciation rules before running a video), plus confirm-before-generate settings now configurable through the API. Protagonist reference images via URL β€” Paste an image URL into the chat when generating a video with a presenter, and ngram uses that image as the character reference instead of generating one from scratch. Improvements Script modal voiceover plays end-to-end β€” Hitting play in the Script modal now sequences through all scene clips continuously. No pre-merged file needed β€” scene clips stitch together on the fly the moment voiceover generation finishes. Storyboard above the video β€” Storyboard scene cards now sit above the video output as a scrollable row. The video frame resizes dynamically to fit the available space. Duration from your prompt wins β€” Writing "2-minute video" or "keep this under 90 seconds" in your prompt now correctly overrides the duration picker. A note appears in the script review step if the output still runs short or long. Delete, move, and insert scenes by number β€” "Delete scene 3" or "move scene 5 before scene 2" now applies surgically without regenerating the rest of the storyboard. Targeted voiceover re-generation also works by scene number. Bug Fixes Editor save dialog no longer appears when you haven't made any edits. Fixed false "insufficient credits" warnings β€” stale reservations from interrupted sessions were inflating the reserved balance. A cleanup job now runs every 15 minutes. Product Update: Eye Contact AI, App Library, and a Faster Video Flow

Since our last update, ngram shipped a brand-new tool, a faster path from prompt to finished video, and a stack of new controls. Here's what's new. New features Eye Contact AI β€” a dedicated tool that redirects an on-camera speaker's gaze so they appear to look straight into the lens. Now handles clips up to 10 minutes. App Library β€” browse and launch every ngram tool from inside the app, instead of going back to the marketing site. Brand Kit import from a URL or PDF β€” paste your website or upload a brand-guidelines PDF and ngram extracts your colors, fonts, and logo automatically. YOLO and PRO agent modes β€” run a video end-to-end, or pause after the storyboard to approve the plan before any visuals are generated. Play your voiceover in the Script modal β€” listen to the generated narration with one click while reviewing the script. Caption style picker β€” captions on/off plus 16 caption-style presets that persist across edits. Video Styles β€” pick a style template built from a real reference video that steers the script, storyboard, imagery, and music. 2-minute and Auto video lengths, rename and delete conversations, delete account, consistent characters across scenes, and editing AI images inside motion-graphics scenes. Improvements A faster flow with fewer approval stops, a full voice and avatar picker in the prompt wizard, a reworked art-direction picker, clearer credit messages with one-click download, smarter Before We Start setup, and mobile polish. Bug fixes Fixed motion-graphics export, navigating chats during a render, recovering a broken conversation, chat input lag, deleted-file persistence, audio across scene cuts, and removed the forced logo intro/outro.
